General Guidelines

We’re happy to welcome you to the Game Gorillaz Digital Game Assets Store. The following document is a set of procedures and practices that have to be taken care of while providing the images and content for the promotions and sales of your projects on Game Gorillaz. Find the worth in spending some minutes skimming through these, for it will ascertain better sales and growth for you.

1. Name your asset IN SEO FRIENDLY WAY

Spell check and cross check for naming your project, if you’re unsure of how it spells. Keep simple descriptive names, so they’re easier for the buyer to find i.e. Name your assets in a simple manner, that users will be searching for. Avoid using highly technical words that beginners maybe unaware of. Instead of naming a package as plain ‘Dinosaurs Pack’, take a more attractive shot at it, something like ‘Jurassic Dinosaurs 3D Model Pack - Mobile Ready’.

2. Keeping a check on the Quality Standards

Let your asset reveal your flair, skill and dexterity. We’re appreciative of well-crafted textures and doting artisanship in projects that you submit. Your talent reflects in how well you create an asset, which otherwise consumes an investment of time, money and effort of a developer. In case of 3D assets the geometry should be clean and well textured, in case of complete projects the code done should be well commented. Simple assets can be made to multi-packs, unless they’re singularly qualitative. Remember, the projects you submit, guide your ability and agility.

2.1 Work out of the box
Set up your projects in the most user-friendly way. If the user needs to follow multiple installation steps, document your data relatively and sufficiently. Add illustrative examples for much convenient usage. Ensure that the code pack includes files that guide the pre-requisites for the installs of un-configured projects.

2.2 Use quality presentation material

Quality content gets perfect backing when supported by a quality presentation material. Add Screenshots and demo video and example screens to beguile your prospect buyers by justifying the quality of your asset pre-purchase. This always works as a great first impression, for your buyer will know that your project is what he wants. It’ll certainly make you stand out from the clutter.

3.Restricted Content

3.1 Licenses and permissions

3.1.1 Do not upload anything that is not your creation or something you are not legally permitted to resell. Such action will make you liable for legal proceedings and disciplinary action by GameGorillaz, Legal Owners of the Content, or your buyers that may face legal inconvenience. Violating content includes ripped and downloaded assets, or freely available ones on the web.

3.2 Trademarked, Copyrighted, violatory and Branded Content

Clinch that the submitted project shouldn’t advertise any brand or trademarked name. For instance, do not mark any of your car designs as an Aston Martin; do not mark a pistol as a Remington or a furniture piece as a Kent-Coffee. Double check your assets before submission for Patents or Trademark Violations, if in doubt. Conclusively, we do not; to our discretion; accept the projects that can be categorized as either of the following:

  • 3.2.1Libelous
  • 3.2.2Defamatory
  • 3.2.3Pornographic, evocative or obscene
  • 3.2.4Racist in any way

GUIDELINES FOR COMPLETE PROJECTS

The documentation file should include install and setup instructions; the functioning and usage of the project and place it in the main folder. If you update your projects regularly, keep your shoppers interested with your recent achievements by including version history files in the documentation.
